Honesty and confidence are definitely sexier than any arbitrary physical feature! Besides, as my younger sister and I realized even as early as high school, if a guy is a complete douche, it doesn't matter how hot he is (awesome hair and all). We're not going to like him. Also amen to the tedious amount of time it takes to "do something about" one's hair. I'm growing mine longer again now, but am already looking forward to cutting it short again.
Thank you for sharing such personal information about your hair loss. Loved your honesty. Hair loss is a big confidence killer. Sounds like you were very forward thinking, even getting transplant estimates. Just curious, what were they quoting you back in the day?
I'm glad you've come to peace with it and your appearance. and good job on the heavy sunscreen use!
I think you look younger because you embrace life and are prepared to take risks eg packing up your life and being a digital travelling nomad, plus being resilient in the fickle world of publishing and media where knockbacks are a way of life.
I met my partner (of 5 years) with a shaved head and then grew it back post-covid lockdowns where I realised my thinning hair was due to a massively stressful job. Like your loving partner, he was attracted to me for being me, not whether I had hair or not.

Such an important lesson to learn at an early age! 🙂
You reminded me of Telly Sevalas and a moment where a child in an elevator I was in called a bald infant “baby Kojak”.
LOL
Yeah, he and Yul Brynner were the "bald sex symbols" of the 70s, but I never really saw it with Sevalas.

Thank you. It started at $5000 and went up to $15,000 and beyond. In 1990!!!
The thing I never understood is that is that wasn't a lasting solution. As your hair receded more, you needed more plugs. Seemed crazy to me.

You make a good point! 😜🤩
Lovely. Good luck to you both. 🙂
